The no.50 is a black and white negative orthochromatic specialty film, yielding medium to high contrast, high resolution, high sharpness and fine grain. This film has a double sided emulsion, therefore additional care must be taken while developing and loading the film. This emulsion can be pulled to ISO 25 and pushed to ISO 100.

This film was originally used for medical purposes in radiography and angiography.

Processing:
The experimental no.50 film can be processed manually in reel/spiral/hanger tanks or flat bottom dishes/trays. This film is highly robust and can handle less than ideal processing conditions, however nitrile/latex/vynil gloves must be used when handling this film. It will not contaminate the processing chemistry if pre-washed. This film can be developed by inspection under red safelight, but a minimum of 1.2 meters should be maintained from the lightsource to avoid fogging. When processed manually, it is recommended to agitate the film for 10 seconds each 30 seconds of development. The development time must be decreased/increased by 10%. each stop of pull/push processing this film.

The listed developers and developments times are recommended for use with this film

Spectral sensitivity:
Blue(sensitive)/Green(highly sensitive)
