The no.5 is a black and white negative orthochromatic specialty film yielding high contrast, high resolution, continuous tone and very fine grain.

This film was originally used to store archival documents which could be viewed with the aid of special machines found in libraries.

TECHNICAL DATA

Physical properties:
The silver halide emulsion type is coated on a polyester PET 10 base, with a base thickness of 0.100 mm.
The fim thickness is 0.105 mm. (before processing).

Processing:
The experimental no.5 film can be processed in all types of processing equipment including spiral tanks, dishes/trays, rotary processors, deep tanks and automatic processors. This film is very robust. It can handle less than ideal processing conditions and it will not contaminate the processing chemistry. This film can be handled under (red) safelight. If developed under (red) safelight conditions in open dishes/trays, it is recommended to keep a minimum distance of 1.2 meters away from the light source to avoid fogging the film. If processed in a developing tanks it is recommended to agitate the film for 10 second each minute of development or for 5 seconds every 30 seconds of development.
