The no.12 is an orthochromatic black and white specialty film, yielding warm-tone medium contrast, medium resolution and paper fabric-like grain.

The creation of this type of specialty film was inspired by the early experiments of Henry Fox Talbot as he photographed with silver halide emulsions absorbed in paper fibers.

TECHNICAL DATA

Physical properties:
The silver halide emulsion type is coated on fiber paper with a base thickness of 180g/m3 (before processing).

Processing:
The experimental no.12 film can be processed in dishes or trays, most types of film processing tanks or automatic film processors suitable for photographic paper development. This film can be developed under (red) safelight. If developed under safelight, it is recommended to keep a minimum distance of 1.2 meters away from the light source to avoid fogging of the film. If developed in dishes/trays the film can be developed by inspection. If processed in a development tank, it is recommended to agitate the film constantly. A thorough final wash is needed for this film to remove all the chemicals from the paper base and avoid archival instability. A minimum of 30 minutes of final wash is recommended.

The listed developers and development times are recommended for use with this film.
